Measure square footage of the area you would like to landscape.

Square footage is the length x the wide of the area.

Step # 2

At local lawn and garden centers, purchase bags of rocks or pebbles and the landscaping weed preventive liner.
 

Step #3

Roll out the liner.  Cut the liner with scissors to desired width and length.

Step #4

Cut the liner with scissors to desired width and length.

Step # 5

Pour the pebbles onto the liner.

 

Step #6

Position larger rocks, stones, or bricks around edge of the liner and rocks to form a border.

Step #7

Decide on the location for your plants.  Push away the pebbles in the area you wish to insert your plants.  Cut a slit or hole into the landscape weed  preventive  liner.  Dig out enough dirt to insert your plants.  Fill area back in with dirt and spread rocks back into area.
